In this work in progress, I have experimented with the aesthetics of theatre and performance, adopting a monologist style of storytelling. Using a hybrid form, the characters directly address the viewer – at times addressing another character in an attempt to complete an unfinished conversation.

At its very core, “Kill Mama” complicates the filial bond between a mother and daughter who are impacted by the patriarchy that surrounds them.

Experimenting with style and form while developing ideas for my MFA thesis film.

An edited clip from “Earth Crusader”, this is one of my favorite scenes that couldn’t make it into the final cut. Two amazing octogenarians in conversation about how to preserve a legacy for the future generations.
